In the heart of Basilicata, a region rich in history and culture, the "From Digital to Smart Tourism" project brought together three countries with different cultures: Italy, Spain and Turkey carrying out the First Transnational Meeting from 2 to 3 December 2022. The event took place as planned, with partners warmly welcomed to share their visions and expertise in the tourism sector. A diverse group of professionals from Italy, Turkey and Spain came together to lay the foundations for a paradigm shift in the tourism sector. The meeting began with a presentation of the members of the partnership. The heart of the project, "From Digital to Smart Tourism", has been unveiled, outlining a roadmap to redefine the tourism landscape through the strategic use of digital tools and a sustainable approach.

Between engaging discussions and exchange of criteria, the partners delved into the complexities of the work plan and the activities to be developed, ensuring a meticulous and coordinated approach to the implementation of the project. Roles and responsibilities were distributed, setting the stage for a harmonious collaborative effort. Meetings were organized with stakeholders from the Lucanian area, including the Mayor of Pignola. These interactions provided valuable insights and built bridges between the project and the local community. This meeting was crucial to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing and prepare the ground for a transformative journey that will influence the project partners and all the actors who will be involved during the implementation of the initiative.
